Currently we are the discussing the same question regarding the hazing act requirement.? We at Campus police recently drafted a policy and submitted it for review to? Student Support Services, who I believe will play a large role in the dissemination of of the hazing act requirements.? Campus police currently completes the ASR so I would imagine we would also document any incidents for the annual report.??

Good afternoon,

Much Like Chief Sapino, our Student Involvement Office, who manages the Student Organization function, completes the Transparency Report(TR). Virginia as been complying with the TR since 2022, called Adams Law (https://stophazing.org/policy/state-laws/virginia/). Student Involvement will also implement the other requirements, such as training, programming, etc.?

The Student Involvement Office and other CSA’s shall report any reports of Hazing to Campus Police, as we maintain the Daily Crime Log and publish the Annual Security Report (ASR), to include all the programming, policy statements and crime statistics that will be required in the ASR. At least for now, that’s how it’s suppose to go.
