    Dear Colleagues,

I am interesting in learning of your bomb threat procedures in terms of evacuations when a threat is received.

    • Do you evacuate for every bomb threat or evaluate the specificity of the threat to determine if an evacuation is warranted?
      • If you evaluate each bomb threat, what metrics are used to inform an evacuation decision?
    • Other than staff members being told to assess their areas, do you use bomb detection canines, and/or conduct a floor by floor physical search?
    • For non-sworn departments, how do you work with local law enforcement?

I will be appreciative of all responses and especially look forward to responses from non-sworn institutions.

Thanks in advance and feel free to contact me privately (leakins@ivytech.edu) if that is your preference.

    Lewis
