Greetings,

I know this has come up before, but I would appreciate hearing from other members about their staffing patterns and numbers.  I would also appreciate any guidance toward accepted minimums in LE staffing.  We are a small private midwest university.  Our campus about 1.5 miles from downtown in a city of about 160,000, part of a metro area of about 350,00.  We have approximately 1200 residents and about 2700 total.  We are a non-sworn and unarmed department.  Please feel free to contact me directly at christopherrobert@sau.edu

Hi Robert

we are a non-sworn, unarmed department in a residential area of a city.? ?We have 400 residence and a daily population of 12,000.? We have 5 on shift, but can go as low as 4 and this includes the communicator.? ? We work 12 hour shifts on a rotation of 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights.??
