Hi Michael, we too are beginning this process.? ?Our SOCC is the last place on campus we’re going to switch over to the new Teams environment due to the complexity and maintaining continuity of service.? ?One hurdle we’ve run into with the Teams transition campus-wide is with calling 911 through Teams.? ?Caller location identifiers are not as precise with Teams.? If you are using a laptop remotely and you use Teams to call 911, it doesn’t know that you are not on campus.? ?We’ve had to engage with a service through one of our telephone companies to intercept 911 calls, they verify your location and then direct the call to the appropriate PSAP.? It adds upwards of 20-30 seconds to the call process.? It’s not ideal, but it’s the only way to resolve that issue, I’m told.? ?Most people are using cell phones for 911 calls, so we don’t anticipate many using Teams to do so, but it is a risk that needs to be addressed.
I’m happy to collaborate if you see value.? I’m probably not much further along in the process than you, but I’m always wiling to help where/when I can.
Regards,

Subject: Microsoft Teams Calling for Dispatch Center
We are making the switch from Cisco based desk phones to Microsoft Teams calling for our dispatch center. Has anyone switched to this platform or considered switching to the Teams platform?
