Hello All,

For those of you who assist with providing any mental health transports, this may be to your wellness center on campus or to off site facility, would you be able to share your policies and procedures related to these type of transports? 

We have a wellness center on campus with medical and mental health providers and are fortunate to have an off site ER facility for mental health specifically within a 1/2 mile radius. We are working through some challenges and would appreciate hearing from others in how they may be partnering with their wellness centers/dean’s on this type of activity.

Hello Heidi,

Our policy was included in our transport policy. For mental health transports, we require information as to why the escort is needed (ROI signed). If the student and clinician can’t provide us the ROI, the clinician has to accompany the student to the hospital.? Our policy is attached.?
