Introduction and Upcoming Meeting for Mountain Pacific Region IACLEA Members
Dear Mountain Pacific Region IACLEA Members,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jason Berthon-Koch, and I am currently the Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety at Central Washington University. With 25 years of experience in law enforcement, I am excited to introduce myself and look forward to meeting all of you. My goal is to represent your ideas, needs, and requests at the board level, and to be your voice in advocating for positive changes that benefit us all.
Over the past few weeks, I have reached out to several of you to introduce myself and to understand your concerns and requests from the national level. I have had some great conversations and I am eager to continue these discussions. I understand that you all have busy schedules, so I would like to start us off with a 30-minute Zoom meeting in the next few weeks. I will be posting the date and time in another announcement, and I would love to meet and hear from you all.
Additionally, I have spoken to several members who have simply forgotten to pay the annual dues required for IACLEA membership. If you haven’t paid those dues yet, please do so as soon as possible to ensure your access to all the benefits that IACLEA offers.
Here are some upcoming training sessions that IACLEA is putting on for members:
- Title IX Investigator Classes (October 23, 2024)
- Reclaiming the Narrative (October 29, 2024)
- Clery Act Training Academy (November 12, 2024)
- Safety and Security Symposium (November 12, 2024)
- Leadership Development Institute: Executives (November 12, 2024)
- Behavioral Intervention Team Trainings (November 19, 2024)
- Trauma-Informed Sexual Assault on Campus (December 4, 2024)
- Communications (December 10, 2024)
Your membership gives you? discounts and access to these valuable resources and more. Thank you for your continued dedication to campus public safety. I look forward to our upcoming Zoom meeting and to working together to make a positive impact.
Best regards,
Jason Berthon-Koch Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety Central Washington University
P.S. I will be posting the Zoom link for our meeting shortly. Stay tuned!
