NYPD Dignitary protection course
Operation Sentry is a nationwide intelligence and training initiative established by the NYPD Intelligence Division in 2006 to enhance collaboration and strengthen security across jurisdictions.
This year, from November 3?5, the NYPD will host 100 select participants from across the country for an advanced dignitary protection and intelligence training summit. Attendees will represent diverse roles, including governors’ and mayors’ protective details, executive protection teams, intelligence specialists, and investigative units. On November 5th, the program will culminate in a comprehensive seminar that brings together the new class of dignitary protection students and seasoned veterans for collaborative training, thought?sharing, and strategic discussions. The seminar will feature guest speakers with deep expertise in executive protection, intelligence integration, and emerging threat landscapes, offering participants critical insights into the latest tactics, technologies, and operational developments shaping the protective services industry.
By combining nationwide intelligence collaboration with advanced training and capability development, Operation Sentry has become a global leader in protective operations and threat mitigation, empowering agencies to anticipate risks, coordinate seamlessly, and safeguard communities and dignitaries with greater precision and confidence.
