    Good Morning from Massachusetts,

Last weekend our campus had a shooting outside one of our residence halls, thankfully nobody was harmed and the suspect has been arrested. However, we are in the process of reviewing all of our access control measures along with just a comprehensive review of protocols and procedures across the board. We have a main entry point to our campus that is the only access point from 7pm-7am M-Thursday and 7pm Friday through 7am Monday. One of the issues we run into is Uber, Lyft, Uber Eats, Doordash, and other type services coming onto campus. As of now we do not have a single meeting point or central location for these services. We are a residential campus with extensive buildings and roads and can be quite difficult to navigate for the first time and at night. We are also dealing with the typical college population that doesn’t want to walk further than their door. Hoping to get some ideas of what folks are doing for these kinds of services, do you have a central pick-up/drop-off location for ride shares? Do you have a central location for all food delivery? What kind of security measures are you using to verify these services, etc. Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated!?

I wish we had this problem and I could provide you with some ideas. Our campus, as well as all the other state universities in Washington, are open to the public. @L. in speaking with you recently, I learned your university is gated. Is this something you can provide some insight on?
