Sasha,
From a law enforcement perspective, we have been successful when we have enough information to initiate a legal process (a preservation request and/or a search warrant) in criminal matters. The timeliness of the initial reporter is often a factor, and what information they were able to screenshot or etc.
Fizz Guidelines for Law Enforcement
As for “civil” or non-criminal matters, that is a different story.
Apps like Fizz, Yik Yak, tbh, Whisper, and Fade have always been a challenge. It seems as soon as one app fades away, another app quickly rises to take its place.
For those who need assistance, we have found our ICAC team a great place to start.

Hello Friends,
Wondering if anyone had any experience with Fizz. It’s been particularly problematic the last few weeks on campus and the assumed affiliation with our institution has made it very difficult to work with students and even our local law enforcement on ways to address. Has anyone had any success addressing “threats” on the app? Or has anyone moved to ban it from their institutions? Any help/info would be really appreciated.
Best
Sasha
