IACLEA is pleased to announce the launch of training program to develop agency policies and procedures that comply with IACLEA Accreditation standards.

Over the course of fifteen (15) weeks, this hands-on training program will focus on the skills needed to write clear and comprehensive policies and procedures to include writing policies specific to your agency. Lessons will address the differences between policy and procedure, provide participants with a framework for developing policies and procedures relevant to their agency and consistent with accreditation standards, and explore best practices for maintaining and updating policies.

The class will meet every other week for eight weeks. The first two sessions will consist of PPT presentations by the instructors. During weeks 3-7 course participants will meet one-on-one with instructors to review draft polices. The course will require agencies to present existing policies to the instructors for review or develop draft policies to review with the instructors.

The instructors are Scott VanScoy and Tamara McCollough, both of whom are experienced accreditation managers and accreditation assessment team leaders.

The first class will meet January 25 at 2:00 pm EST. The full schedule for all three classes is:
????????? Class 1: January 25, 2024 through May 2, 2024
????????? Class 2: March 14, 2024 through June 20, 2024
????????? Class 3: July 11, 2024 through October 17, 2024

Registration is on a first-come basis. Each class can accommodate 15 agencies. To register please email Jerry Murphy at jmurphy@iaclea.org and indicate your first and second preference. Once registered, participants are will receive login instructions.
